        With the increasing competition and multi-tasks in modern society, people suffer from more and more pressure in daily life.         Secondly, resting your eyes is a resetting for your overactive brain. It can increase your alertness, improves your mood and stimulates your creativity and mental clarity. Especially in schools or workplace, resting your eyes for a short time at noon may make big difference. You could get power from resting your eyes, and it is helpful to keep your mind fresh and have a clear thinking in the afternoon.

 

        However, resting your eyes cannot exactly instead of sleep. Because sleep provides us necessary functions that other behaviors cannot offer. For example, sleep could help us overcome sickness and keep healthy, repair and maintain our cell system, and improve our memory etc.. Therefore, resting your eyes is not a long-period solution for you. If you have some trouble in sleep, you could try these activities before go to bed. Such as reading, soft bed yoga, meditation, listening soft music and so on. These activities help you relax your mind.
